Inauguration of the Renovated Mahabodhi Pali & Research Centre – Bengaluru | 26 April 2026

What began as a noble vision of our revered teacher has now blossomed into a meaningful reality. The seeds of wisdom and dedication sown over time have come to fruition with the inauguration of the renovated, upgraded, and digitalized Mahabodhi Pali & Research Centre.

On the sacred occasion of Vesakha Buddha Jayanthi, commemorating the Birth, Enlightenment, and Mahaparinibbana of the Supreme Buddha, this remarkable milestone was celebrated with great reverence and joy. The newly enhanced centre stands as a beacon of learning, now equipped with a digital library, modern classrooms, conference hall, and a dedicated Pali Tipitaka section, strengthening its role as a centre for Dhamma and academic excellence.

The inauguration ceremony was solemnly led by Most Venerable Prof. Dr. Wangchuk Dorjee Negi, in the esteemed presence of Venerable Ratanapala Mahathero Bhanteji, Most Venerable Dr. M. Sugathasiri Thera, Most Venerable Bhikkhu Kassapa Mahathera, Venerable Ananda Thera, and Mr. Muzibulla Zafari, representing Hon’ble Minister Shri B. Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan. Various sections of the library were ceremonially inaugurated by the revered members of the Maha Sangha, adding spiritual significance to the occasion.

The event was further enriched by the gracious presence of distinguished guests including Swami Vireshananda, Smt. Parimala Jain, and Shri S. Harman Singh, reflecting the spirit of interfaith harmony and unity.

This significant achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and visionary leadership of Venerable Buddhadatta Thera, whose commitment brought this dream to life. The successful realization of this project was made possible with the collective efforts of his team, supported by the blessings of Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera and the Maha Bodhi Society.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Guru Bhante Ji, the Maha Sangha, spiritual leaders, government officials, and everyone who contributed to making this historic inauguration a grand success. Your support and blessings continue to inspire our mission.

With deep gratitude, we dedicate this centre to the service of the Buddha Sasana, with the aspiration that it will continue to nurture wisdom, compassion, and learning for generations to come.
